Your Spring Care Checklist…
Your skin can be demanding as it changes throughout all the seasons. Sometimes, we neglect to care for it properly as it adjusts to climate change. Here are some tips to prepare your skin for the warmer seasons…
GET A TREATMENT…
After weathering through the cold months, your skin is probably begging for some relief and rejuvenation! Melt away the winter blues with a revitalizing or clarifying facial. Kick it up a notch with a deep cleanse, a soothing mask, a hydrating treatment, or a spontaneous add-on!
SHED THOSE UNWANTED LAYERS…
The first step to the healthy, spring glow in your skin begins with shedding the accumulated layers of dead skin cells. Exfoliating the skin helps to prepare it for much needed nutrients and helps keep it smooth and fresh.
Skin that tends to be drier should exfoliate more frequently during the winter months to smooth out the dry, flaky texture. However, as warmer weather approaches, a weekly exfoliation should suffice to maintain skin softness.
Keep in mind that the proper exfoliant depends upon your skin type and skin condition.
LIGHTEN UP ON YOUR MOISTURIZER…
With warmer climates and an increase in humidity levels, your skin will most likely feel the change in temperature. Whether you tend to be oily, combination, normal, dry, or sensitive, you may want to consider using a lighter-weight moisturizer, especially during the day.
Those heavy-duty moisturizing creams that felt perfect during bitter cold temperatures may begin to feel too heavy. So, take your cues from how your skin feels and adapt accordingly.
PREPARE FOR SUMMER…
Revive the body with a full body exfoliation and add on a detoxifying body wrap to flush out toxins and tone the body. When you feel good, you look good!
Lastly, book your mani-pedi to repair your hands and feet! Winter hibernation often causes us to ignore caring for our hands and feet. By the time spring comes around, the hands are dry and rough, while the feet suffer cracked heels.
Spring care treatment isn’t an indulgence, it’s a necessity for healthy looking skin!
Skin Care Tips
Exfoliation for Oily skin
If your skin is prone to oiliness, exfoliating too frequently can stimulate oils glands, so regulate it to once or twice a week.
